The aim of the course is to help you communicate effectively in various situations in your job, enlarge your vocabulary repertoire and choose the appropriate level of formality depending on the occasion.
Topics include, among others: small talk, describing company structures and processes; talking about business-related experience; planning a team-building activity; making a conference call; language used in meetings and writing minutes; giving a presentation and evaluating presentations; talking about trends and intercultural competences. You will have an opportunity to practise writing messages and emails and try out different levels of formality. Some grammar will be dealt with, too: conditionals; reported speech; modal verbs used for speculating; relative clauses; the use of Past Perfect and Future Perfect.
