Forest Information Technology - FIT (Internationaler Masterstudiengang)

Zielgruppen:

Students with a 3-year or 4-year Bachelor/ Engineer Degree in Nature Sciences or Computer Sciences.

Fachliche Voraussetzungen:

- Der angebotene Masterstudiengang kann von Bewerbern aus der ganzen Welt studiert werden, wenn sie die Zulassungsvoraussetzungen erfüllen. - Bewerber mit einem 3- oder 4- Jährigen Bachelor- oder Ingenieurabschluss, abhängig vom Herkunftsland oder vergleichbaren Abschlüssen wie zum Beispiel Forstwirtschaft, Biologie, Landschaftsplanung, Agrarwirtschaft oder ähnlichen Naturwissenschaften, können direkt in den Masterstudiengang aufgenommen werden. Aber auch Absolventen von Studiengängen, wie Informatik oder Computerwissenschaften können sich bewerben. - Absolventen, deren Muttersprache nicht Englisch ist, sollten bereits einen Nachweis erworben haben, der mit 87 erreichten Punkten in dem Internetbasierten TOEFL-Test vergleichbar ist. Admission criteria The offered Master programme is open to applicants worldwide who satisfy the admission criteria. Applicants should have a 3-year or 4-year Bachelor / Engineer Degree depending on the country of origin or comparable degree in e.g. Forestry, Biology, Agriculture, Landscape Planning or related Natural Sciences or Computer Sciences will be eligible for direct entry to the Master Programme. Applicants whose native language is not English should already hold a degree or equivalent qualification from an institution where English is the medium of instruction, or have obtained an acceptable English language qualification comparable to 87 points of the internet based version of TOEFL.

Ein innovatives und zukunftsorientiertes gemeinsames Studienangebot der HNEE und der Warsaw University of Life Sciences! Die Absolventen können komplexe Fragestellungen des Forst- und Umweltbereiches mit Hilfe moderner Informationstechnologien bearbeiten.

Was ist FIT?
Der internationale Masterstudiengang "Forest Information Technology" (FIT) bietet eine interdisziplinäre Ausbildung mit Schwerpunkt auf der Informationstechnologie in den Bereichen Umwelt (60 - 65%), Waldökosystemforschung, Forstmanagement und Landschaftsforschung. Das gemeinsam mit der Warsaw University of Life Sciences angebotene Master Programm wurde zum Wintersemester 2005/2006 eingeführt.

Ziel des Studiengangs:
Informationstechnologien (IT) als Schlüsseltechnologien des 21. Jahrhunderts bieten die Möglichkeit waldbauliche Probleme zu erkennen, sowie Lösungsansätze für die immer komplexer und globaler werdenden Probleme im Umweltbereich zu entwickeln. Durch die Anwendung moderner IT ist es möglich, Methoden zu entwickeln, die der nachhaltigen Waldbewirtschaftung dienen bzw. einen auf lange Sicht ökologisch vertretbaren Umgang mit der Umwelt im Allgemeinen gewährleisten.

Der Studiengang wird in Zusammenarbeit zwischen der Hochschule für nachhaltige Entwicklung Eberswalde (Deutschland) und der Warsaw University of Life Sciences (Polen) durchgeführt.

What is FIT?
The international Master study programme "Forest Information Technology (FIT)" is an interdisciplinary education offer with its main focus on environmental information technologies (IT), forest ecosystem research, forest management and landscape research. But the majority of modules is related to IT fundamentals and forest and environment related applications of IT. This Master Programme was launched in September 2005 (start of the Winter Semester 2005/2006).

The aim of the programme:
The study programme qualifies for an occupational activity in the application range of information technologies (IT) in practice and research of the forest and environmental sector. Students will be enabled to detect relevant IT application areas and to plan and to technologically promote corresponding innovation processes.
Students learn to solve complex problems based on a deepened and extended understanding of structures, processes and relationships within ecosystems, landscapes as well as within the sphere of forestry and based on a broad spectrum of scientific methods and tools for the collection, analysis, storage, visualization and communication of environmental data. Students are especially enabled to creatively apply and to adapt forestry and environment related software, to open up new application areas and to develop new application software.
