Do you have a passion for stories? Film? Art? Would you like to talk in detail about these
themes and feel more comfortable practicing English? This course is for students with
intermediate to upper-intermediate English skills who want to feel more confident speaking English about stories, film, and art. The course will give you useful language and phrases to improve your spoken communication skills in different artistic and cultural situations focused on using genre specific vocabulary to talk about a variety of cultures: stories, films, and art. While lively conversation and discussion is the main aim of this course, some grammar may be covered. We will use a range of authentic materials, case studies and video clips, and reference international and local events such as here in Berlin.

Material will be provided by the teacher.

Ihre Kursleiterin: Allia Sadeghipour is an Iranian-American with a teaching credential, BA and MA English, Literature and Writing Studies. Born in the United States, her family moved to Iran where Farsi became her first language. She later moved back to the United States, and, in re-learning English, excelled. She has a keen sense for language learning and has taught a variety of courses from: ESL, business, modern culture and folklore, storytelling, mental health and cognitive science, and writing workshops for Women and LGBTQI+ organizations.
